Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She's written 15 books, and she is co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is an writer, journalist, TV host and the owner of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was in Greece then moved to England at age 16. In Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in economics. At 21 she became head of the famous debate club The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student to do so. A conservative syndicated blogger, after graduating she became an influential voice for the Huffington Post. The fame of her name helped by attracting a variety of high-profile contributors to post their views on news, politics, and other topics. Arianna's celebrity status was first noticed in 2003 when she became an independent candidate in the California recall vote in order to replace the then governor Davis. The project she headed was the Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Forbes placed her at 12 on their list of the Top Influential Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their top 100 list in 2010. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post and made the president of that media unit, which comprised of many then-existing AOL properties too such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter born to Konstantinos the manager's advisor as well as a journalist. Even though she was close with her father, the relationship she had to her mom shaped the remainder of her life. In her early years she demonstrated the qualities of a leader for which she's still known. When she was 16 years old the girl moved into England in the United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. While in college she was a member of the Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college where she eventually became its first foreign and female president. In 1972, her master's in Economics was awarded. Following her graduation, she was employed as a columnist critic and as a host on television. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
